Disciples or pew sitter?

Then he said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.’
The life of Christ discipleship calls for denial or for the individual to sacrifice things desired keeping the flesh subjected to God. The exercise of denial helps the disciple grow stronger in spirit, thus overcoming the denials and rejections of the world. This also omits the emotional imbalances or sensitivity that comes when one is rejected or better yet when someone tells us no concerning something we desire to achieve.
