Many are called but few are choose
Jesus spoke in parable to the masses. Many did not understand but only a few did. Jesus goes on in verse 11 to say “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. I look at it like this there are many hidden secrets in the word of god though only a few will understand them. We go on through life seeing and leaning onto our own understanding instead of the way good would see it for us. Though we listen to our flesh which dies daily but only through the son of man will you have eternal life? The word of god is what sustains you truly. So since the secrets of the kingdom have been given to you, you already have the keys to your faith. Many have ears but do not hear and many have eyes but do not see. We must stop looking and seeing with our human eyes and begin to see and hear with our spiritual eyes. The parables that Jesus gave hold the keys to the secrets in the kingdom of heaven, so “Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear”
