Good morning,
What different attitudes we have when we follow the word of the Lord. We may go through perilous times, experience hurt and pain, but what is life without challenges. Challenges make us better, not bitter. Challenges fuel us to see areas we need to grow and gain experience in to serve humanity better. That’s right because we were not created to serve ourselves and families only! There is a community out there that needs serving… You live in the community that needs help. Answer are right in our mist at times but the deception of complaining is so much easier. However the scripture were reading in 1 Samuel 30 show us the results of David’s inquiring to the Lord. They even show David’s generosity and forgiveness concerning those who wanted to stone him. Read 1 Samuel 30:21-25
21 Then David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow him and who were left behind at the Besor Valley. They came out to meet David and the men with him. As David and his men approached, he asked them how they were. 22 But all the evil men and troublemakers among David’s followers said, “Because they did not go out with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered. However, each man may take his wife and children and go.”
23 David replied, “No, my brothers, you must not do that with what the Lord has given us. He has protected us and delivered into our hands the raiding party that came against us. 24 Who will listen to what you say? The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.”25 David made this a statute and ordinance for Israel from that day to this.
Many of Christians need to reflect on this lesson of the heart. Doing what’s right and following Christ spirit as a giver serves and changes the mind and heart of people’s who believe all and everything is for them because they worked for and labored to obtain, but this is not true at all. Nothing belongs to us everything we have in this life is lent to us even our bodies.We’re all in this world together and another thing is our time is limited. We will not be here forever as people tend to demonstrate through their lives. So let’s make the best out of our lives by being aware of our actions. Trials and challenges only last as long as we resist to search out the truth to find the solution. Amen be a blessing in expression in Jesus name!
